Chiropractic Adjustment Techniques
South Town Chiropractic uses a variety of chiropractic adjustment techniques when helping treat their patients. We are focused on treating spinal and musculoskeletal problems primarily through manual manipulation and rehabilitative musculoskeletal therapy. We do not prescribe medication, but rely on a variety of manual therapies, including Cox Flexion, Diversified Techniques, Thompson, Activator, and Gonstead, to improve function and provide pain relief.
Types of Adjustment Techniques
Gonstead Technique
Specific, precise and accurate while addressing only the areas of concern (areas with subluxation).
Thompson Technique
Utilizes a unique table to enhance the directed force towards the segment or region to be adjusted.
Cox Flexion Distraction Technique
Release the nerve pressure and reduce disc compression helping to alleviate your discomfort, reducing the need for major surgery.
Diversified Technique
Most common adjustment treatment used to relieve stiffness and pain safely and effectively.
Activator Technique
Instrument assisted chiropractor technique using quick, low-force impulses at specific points.
